Location of Greentrees Guest House

Greentree Guest House located close to Orange (only 4.5kms from the post office), in Central West NSW Greentrees is less than four hours drive from Sydney CBD.

From Sydney and the East

From Sydney and the east, you travel to Bathurst and take the Mitchell Highway to Orange, travelling through the village of Lucknow en route.  When you are almost to Orange you see the 80 km/hour signs and continue to travel toward Orange until you arrive at the 50 km/hour signs.  You continue along the Highway, pass over the railway line and into Summer Street (still the Highway).  You proceed through the CBD and several sets of lights until you come to a small roundabout at Hill Street.  You cross over this roundabout and proceed along Summer Street until you reach a second roundabout.  You turn left at this roundabout into Woodward Street.  You then proceed along Woodward Street and count off four streets on the right.  The fourth street is Racecourse Road.  You turn right into Racecourse Road and follow it out until you come to a small concrete bridge (rail overpass bridge). At this point Racecourse Road becomes Pinnacle Road.  You proceed straight down the hill on Pinnacle Road for one kilometre.  Greentrees is on the corner of Pinnacle Road and Lysterfield Road which comes in on the left.  You turn left into Lysterfield Road (a small gravel country laneway) and the entry into the Guest House is approximately 50 metres on the right in Lysterfield Road.

From Dubbo and the North

From Dubbo and the north you travel along the Mitchell Highway until you come into the 80 km/hour zone. You proceed until  you reach the 50 km/hour zone continuing along the Highway until you come to a large roundabout (the Distributer Road).  You cross over this roundabout and continue on the Highway which is now also Woodward Street.  When you get to the second roundabout you cross over this one too, still travelling along Woodward Street.  You proceed along Woodward Street and count off four streets on the right.  The fourth street is Racecourse Road.  You turn right into Racecourse Road and follow it out until you come to a small concrete bridge (rail overpass bridge).  At this point Racecourse Road becomes Pinnacle Road.  You proceed straight down the hill on Pinnacle Road for one kilometre.  Greentrees is on the corner of Pinnacle Road and Lysterfield Road which comes in on the left.  You turn left into Lysterfield Road(a small gravel country laneway) and the entry into the Guest House is approximately 50 metres on the right.

From Parkes, Forbes and the North-West

From Parkes, Forbes and the north-west you travel on the Escort Way until you enter the 80 km/hour zone.  A short while later you reach the 50 km/hour zone.  At this point prepare to slow right down for your right hand turn into Ploughman’s Lane.  You proceed along Ploughman’s Lane until you reach an intersection.  This is the Cargo/Cowra Road.  You turn right into this road and then immediately turn left into Ploughman’s Lane again (The intersection is a dog’s leg.)  You continue along Ploughman’s Lane, up past Wentworth Golf Club (on the left), over a level crossing (railway line with boom gates).  Immediately over the railway line is a 4 way intersection.  Turn left into this road (Canobolas Road) and proceed for approximately one kilometre until you reach a T intersection.  Turn right into this next road (Pinnacle Road) and proceed down the hill for one kilometre.  Greentrees is on the corner of Pinnacle Road and Lysterfield Road which comes in from the left.  You turn left into Lysterfield Road (a small gravel country laneway) and the entry into the Guest House is approximately 50 metres on the right.

From Grenfell, Cowra, Canowindra, Cargo and the West

From Grenfell, Cowra, Canowindra, Cargo and the west you come into Orange travelling on the Cargo Road until you reach the 80 km/hour zone and then the 50 km/hour zone.  At this point prepare to slow right down for your right hand turn into Ploughman’s Lane.   You proceed along Ploughman’s Lane, up past Wentworth Golf Club (on the left), over a level crossing (railway line with boom gates).  Immediately over the railway line is a 4 way intersection.  Turn left into this road (Canobolas Road) and proceed for approximately one kilometre until you reach a T intersection.  Turn right into this road (Pinnacle Road) and proceed down the hill for one kilometre.  Greentrees is on the corner of Pinnacle Road and Lysterfield Road which comes in from the left.  You turn left into Lysterfield Road (a small gravel country laneway) and the entry into the Guest House is approximately 50 metres on the right.
